Five years ago this month, the Army Game Project team was in the final stages of planning the online debut of the America's Army: Operations (RECON) game. The Army had already surprised E3 show attendees by announcing the Army Game Project with sneak previews in the exhibit space and outdoor demonstrations by actual Soldiers. Throughout the event, the booth was swarming with gamers and members of the media who wanted a first glimpse of the official U.S. Army game.
No one could have imagined that this unheard of PC game would grow into one of the most successful video game brands ever, spawning console and cell phone games, action figures and the 10,000-square-foot Virtual Army Experience. Here's a Mission Editor tip from one of our America's Army community members:
"With the front, top or side view panels active, hold down ALT and CTRL, then left-click and drag a selection around a group of items (including meshes, actors or brushes) in order to move, copy or delete them."
This simple function lets you greatly increase productivity by eliminating many repetitive processes in map building.
