- Sergeant First Class Gerald Wolford, 82nd Airborne, awarded the Silver Star for heroism in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

- Major Jason Amerine, 5th Special Forces Group, awarded the Bronze Star with V Device for heroism in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
If you haven't checked out the videos that detail their heroic actions, view them at www.americasarmy.com/realheroes. Their inspiring stories demonstrate their Warrior Ethos, the set of principles by which every Soldier lives: always place the mission first, never accept defeat, never quit, and never leave a fallen comrade. |

Featured MOS: Satellite Communication Systems Operator/Maintainer (25S)
Secure and effective communication is critical for success in today's high-tech Army. Satellite Communication Systems Operators make sure the lines of communication are always open. During extensive classroom and simulated combat conditions training these Soldiers learn how to install, operate, maintain and repair tactical multi-channel satellite communications. They are responsible for encoding and decoding classified messages, operating different types of telephone switchboards and responding to emergency messages. Gamer Tip: Voice Activation Control
VAC enables players to use the America's Army voice recognition system to issue commands and initiate actions. Now players have the ability to speak the radio command they want rather than cycling through menus. You can also map any key to a voice command to customize your America's Army experience. |
