America's Army AMERICA'S ARMY RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

The America's Army Rules of Engagement (ROE) are the guidelines we follow in the America's Army network. Whether you are on a Leased or Official Game Server, the AA Forums, or chatting on AA IRC, you are expected to adhere to the Official ROE for that engagement. These guidelines are established to ensure the member and visitor of the America's Army Community demonstrates appropriate behavior, is shown courtesy, and is treated fairly. Do not proceed if you do not agree with the ROE of the America's Army network.

The following describes the general ROE that applies to all virtual presence in America's Army: Forums, IRC, Official/Leased Official Servers. Questions regarding the ROE should be directed to our America's Army Community Managers (AACMs)..




The America’s Army Community consists of a diverse group of players from around the world. All of us benefit from this interaction with one another. All of us should remember the "Golden Rule" by treating one another with respect and consideration. Anyone observing or subject to negative interactions with other members should be forwarded to the appropriate moderator or Webmaster.

Any and all threats against the America's Army network or servers, including attempts to hack, crash, or flood a server, actual or implied, are instant grounds for removal and can result in legal action. Come on, this is the U.S. Army you're messing with! Be smart.

Derogatory language or slander involving race, gender, sexual preference, religion or creed, including negative use of harmless slangs will not be tolerated.

Harassing other players is not permitted within any America's Army communication channel. A little healthy competitive trash-talking is tolerable; however excessive comments directed at specific players will not be tolerated.

Impersonation of Admins, Dev team members, other members of the Army staff, or other fraudulent use of tag of identification is immediate grounds for removal. This includes close spellings intended to deceive other users.




On the Internet, a username or nickname (aka "nick") is a textual identifier which is used by others to identify who you are. In short -- it's the available name you decided to use in the America's Army network. In the America's Army community, your name must adhere to Entertainment Standards Rating Board (ESRB) teen ratings. This means all virtual names chosen by our community members are expected to adhere the following:

    • No Insulting, derogatory or slanderous names.
    • No Name involving race, gender, sexual preference, religion or creed.
    • No Names that contain excessively explicit or vulgar language.

Bear in mind the following character restrictions in the login name when signing up for America's Army game account :   ( \ / : * ? " < > | )   are NOT valid. Using any of these characters will result in your game not authenticating or saving correctly; in other words, you won't be able to complete the training missions or play online.
